GUYS LET’s TALK!! Who Should Be Blamed For Nigeria’s 2-1 Defeat Against Algeria?

Hi Guys!!
The Super-Eagles of Nigeria looked like a promising team at the ongoing African Cup of Nations until Algeria’s National team pounced on us.
Many circumstances sure led to the loss, maybe we could have won the match at extra-time or at the penalties if that Riyad Mahrez free-kick didn’t drop in our goal net few seconds to go.
Trust Nigerians, fingers of blame have been pointing in different directions since we lost the match.

Troost Ekong Own Goal

Nigerian defender, Ekong gave Algeria a lead in the first half.
He mistakenly converted Riyad Mahrez‘s cross into a goal in own net.
Should we really blame him?

Deep Green Jersey

Many Nigerians are of the belief that our deep green jersey brings bad luck to the team.
Maybe the Super Eagles would have won if they played wearing the other light-green patterned jersey.

Gernot Rohr’s Tactics

It is believed that Gernot Rohr Tactics in the second half ruined the game for Nigeria.
Removing Chukwueze, a player who very good in the attack when we needed a goal doesn’t go down well with many Nigerian fans.
Rohr‘s idea of bringing on Henry Onyekuru for Chukwueze is still yet unknown.

Goal Keeper, Daniel Akpeyi

From the beginning of the Tournament, Goal Keeper, Daniel Akpeyi has been the major fear of Nigerians.
Yesterday, millions of Nigerians rely on him at the last minute to save Riyad Mahrez last-minute free-kick but it’s quite sad that the ball went in at the side not far from where our keeper was standing.
